Launch of recycled notebooks

Ethical fashion Brand Tamasyn Gambell launches a range of recycled notebooks, putting a clever twist on this conventional item.

The Hardbacks

Taking discarded vintage scarves from a textile unit in Nottingham Tamasyn overprints them in her signature graphic prints and bold colours using water based pigments. Both old and new are united to form a beautiful patterned base, which is used to cover the hardback notebooks. Each notebook is hand bound by a small bookbinder in Essex and is totally unique. Its pages are made from recycled British paper waste at a 100 year old British mill.

The Paperbacks

The paperback versions are based on old school notebooks. The recycled card covers are screen printed in our studio in one of four of Tamasyn’s main range prints, in a variety of colours. The pages are formed of blank reject colour test sheets from local printers in the Holborn area, and bound by a small bookbinder in London. For a truly individual gift that is packed with charm and an ethical story the notebooks offer a guilt free treat and with the many patterns and colours on offer there is something for everyone! All products are hand printed in Tamasyn’s studio, using organic dyestuffs and chemicals. Small print runs increase the exclusivity of the designs and keep environmental impact to a minimum.
